The Travelling Fellow – Copenhagen

Last stop – Copenhagen.

Thank you Jeppe Vejlgaard Rasmussen and Ali Hamdani for hosting us at the Herlev og Gentofte Hospital

What an amazing facility with 100 year history. It was great to be involved in the surgical cases but also hear about the research, including PhD projects that are underway. Thank you for your generosity of time and welcoming us into your department. It was a great way to end the trip.

It has been an amazing experience travelling these last 4 weeks. Unfortunately, the fellowship has come to an end. Now the challenging/exciting part – put into practice all the aspects that we have learnt whilst travelling 👍

Thank you again for the amazing opportunity.

3rd visit is Lyon!

Amazing facilities and throughput of surgical cases. Great conversations and education. It was a very rewarding visitation. Thank you Lionel NEYTON, Arnaud GODENECHE and Laurent Nové-Josserand for hosting us at the Ramsay Santé

Have already contacted my hospital to order some of the shoulder retractors and instruments I saw during the cases 👍

Thank you for hosting us and for your time.

The Travelling Fellow – Zurich

Thank you again SECEC – Shoulder & Elbow Community and Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia (SESA) for this opportunity.

First stop was Zürich at Schulthess Klinik with Philipp Moroder

It was a great experience to be involved in a number of surgical cases and to have in-depth discussions on all aspects of shoulder surgery. Philipp Moroder was extremely generous with his time and shared valuable insights into current and emerging concepts aimed at optimizing surgical outcomes, as well as potential areas for future research.

We (Lizzie Bond and Ntambue Jimmy Kauta) all thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Our latest publication in the Journal of Shoulder & Elbow Surgery

Excited to share our latest publication in JSES!

Soft tissue balance during and after shoulder arthroplasty is difficult to achieve and measure. This publication gives some insight into anatomic shoulder replacements and how to correct the balance from a pathological state to a normal shoulder.

Great work team Austin F. Smith, Estelle Wigmore, Alex Malone, Tiane O’Connor, Praveen Vijaysegeran, Connor Parks and Samual Bennett.
